2020 Master Plan

The Brookfield 2020 Master Plan is a comprehensive plan for the Village that includes goals and objectives, a community vision, a land use plan, a transportation plan, a community facilities plan, an implementation action agenda, and six individual subarea plans that focus on the auto-oriented corridors and pedestrian-oriented shopping and Metra station areas. The Principals of Houseal Lavigne Associates lead an interdisciplinary consultant team and created a Plan that enhanced the residential neighborhoods while revitalizing the commercial and mixed-use areas of the Village. A close working relationship was established with Brookfield Zoo, and transportation agencies including RTA, Metra, and Pace, resulting in a process and Plan that maximized the potential of existing and proposed community amenities.
