The Village of River Forest is a mature community noted for its historic homes, beautiful neighborhoods, and tree lined streets. The Comprehensive Plan, directed and prepared by the Principals of Houseal Lavigne Associates, focuses on protecting and enhancing the residential areas while revitalizing and beautifying the Village's commercial corridors. The Plan contains detailed improvement plans and redevelopment priorities for each of the Village's primary commercial/mixed-use corridors.
