Downtown Benson Market Analysis
Houseal Lavigne Associates was retained by Omaha by Design to analyze the development potential of Downtown Benson a unique neighborhood located in the north Omaha area. Our study examined how Benson had evolved over the years from a thriving commercial area at one time into the interesting mix of uses that it incorporates today. The study assessed ways in which Downtown Benson could set itself apart from other neighborhoods by building off of the strong music and arts base that had been established. Recommendations were made related to support for additional retail uses, restaurants and entertainment uses as well as determining the support for the type and mix of new residential units.
