Lacey Rains, City Planner II - is a Planner II with the City of Champaign, and is the project manager for the Champaign Tomorrow Comprehensive Plan update. Before joining the City, Lacey worked in tourism planning and development for the historic community of Vincennes, Indiana. Lacey graduated from Clemson University with a Master’s degree in City and Regional Planning and has an interest in urban design and community revitalization. While at Clemson, she collaborated on projects in both rural and urban areas and worked with people from all walks of life. Some of her experience includes working on community improvement charrettes through the South Carolina Design Arts Partnership and completing design guidelines for the West End neighborhood in Greenville, South Carolina.   lacey.rains@ci.champaign.il.us

Rob Kowalski, Assistant Planning Director - has been with the City for the past three years and has over 15 years of city planning experience. In his career he has worked on similar comprehensive planning efforts, including the 2005 City of Urbana Comprehensive Plan and the comprehensive plan for Louisville and Jefferson County, Kentucky. Rob graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning. His master's project included preparing a long range vision for the community of Cairo, Illinois. One of Rob's key areas of interest is transportation. He regularly commutes to work by transit or bicycle and is interested in how different choices in transportation can help shape a community.    rob.kowalski@ci.champaign.il.us

Mishauno Woggon, City Planner II - is a City Planner with the City of Champaign Planning Department. In 2004, Mishauno moved to Champaign from San Diego, California to pursue a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Her master's project included preparing a Comprehensive Plan for two rural township communities near the Kankakee River in southwestern Will County.  Mishauno joined the Champaign Planning Department in 2006.  While at the City of Champaign, Mishauno has enjoyed working on a wide variety of projects including the Good to Go campaign, Landfill Reuse Park Plan, Champaign Trails Plan, and constructing the First Street bike lanes.    mishauno.woggon@ci.champaign.il.us

Zeba Aziz, City Planner II - is a Planner with the City of Champaign Planning Department.  A graduate in urban planning from Delhi, India, Zeba came to the US in 2005 and completed a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Illinois.  During the course of her education she worked on urban development projects both in India and in the U. S. that were driven by community participation and input.  For her master's project she helped prepare redevelopment plans for neighborhoods in New Orleans post Hurricane Katrina.  Planning shapes communities in more ways than one and Zeba hopes to use her skills in helping communities cultivate a population that is responsible, active and healthy.     zeba.aziz@ci.champaign.il.us

Robby Boyer, Planning Intern - is a Research Intern with the City of Champaign Planning Department. In the fall of 2007, Robby began working toward his Master’s of Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.  Robby worked on the "Day in the Life" cartoons, website materials and chapters of the Existing Conditions Report and will be updating the Champaign Tomorrow website. Prior to his graduate studies, Robby worked as the Volunteer Coordinator at a refugee resettlement agency in Chicago where he helped refugees from a variety of nations adapt to their new life in the United States. He hopes to use urban planning to help people grow more conscious of the places in which they live and work.   Staff wishes Robby well as he continues his studies at the University of Illinois!
