The Transit & Pedestrian Mobility Plan provides a great opportunity for employers, business owners, and residents to articulate, from their perspective, what would make public transit a more viable alternative in Rolling Meadows' Golf Road corridor. The planning process is designed to promote local involvement and encourage community participation. We know that the success of this planning effort will depend on engaging those impacted by transit planning and services. Transit & Pedestrian Mobility Questionnaire
Click on the "Transit & Pedestrian Mobility Questionnaire" link to the right to answer questions about how you access places in the Golf Road corridor. Your answers will help us identify specific techniques or methods for improving service and infrastructure to the places you want to go.
PUBLIC WORKSHOP MEETINGS
Several public meetings are planned for the Golf Road Transit & Pedestrian Mobility Plan. The meetings will include informative presentations followed by dialogue and discussion regarding important local issues.
Community Workshop #1 - Date TBD
This community workshop will provide the opportunity for residents, employees, business owners, and other stakeholders to review initial plan recommendations. Building upon the guidance of the Plan Advisory Committee, public comments will offer a comprehensive perspective from those impacted by plannign and services.
Community Workshop #2 - Date TBD
Once plan recommendations have been refined, this workshop will provide the opportunity for public review of the Golf Road Transit & Pedestrian Mobility Plan. Any input gained during this meeting will be addressed prior to the final presentation of the Plan to City Council.
Final Plan Presentation to City Council - Date TBD
This presentation will include a summary of the planning process, plan recommendations, and implementation strategies. City Council and attendees from the community will be able to provide comments and reactions.
