Community Workshop #1
The Wyoming Master Plan cannot be completed without the participation of residents, property owners, and other stakeholders from throughout the community. Your input and ideas are important, and the City needs to hear what you have to say.
The first opportunity for the entire community to get involved will be a Community Workshop. The purpose of this workshop is to allow residents to provide input, before any plans or recommendations are formulated. The workshop will: (a) review the purpose of the Wyoming Master Plan, the planning process to be undertaken, and the schedule for the project; and (b) hear resident’s views on problems, issues, and assets within the community.

Community Workshop #2
The second Community Workshop will involve the Consultant Team, City Staff, the Steering Committee, elected and appointed officials, and all interested members of the community. The session will include both large-group and small-group working sessions to review and discus conditions and potentials within the City. The large group will work together to identify issues and opportunities, and the small “breakout” groups will work together to develop “visions” for the future of the community. It will conclude with general agreement and understanding regarding the long-term role and character of Wyoming and the projects and improvements that will be desirable in the future.

Community Open House
On August 17, 2020, City Council passed a resolution for Wyoming [re]Imagined, the City of Wyoming’s proposed master plan, to officially begin its 63-day public comment period required by State law before consideration for adoption. The Plan is the product of a 14-month planning process, which included public engagement with residents, the business community, and community stakeholders to discuss how to “reimagine” the future of the City.
To help residents learn more about the plan and have an opportunity to ask questions, the City hosted a series of eight open houses between Sept. 28 and Oct. 1, 2020. All events were open to the public and required attendees to follow COVID-19 health and safety guidelines, including face coverings and physical distancing.
Plan Commission Public Hearing
Following the public comment period, a revised Master Plan will be presented to Planning Commission for public hearing. The public hearing provides an opportunity for residents and the community at-large to comment on the Plan and its recommendations prior to its adoption. Based on review and discussion and based on public feedback during the open house and public hearing, a final Master Plan will be prepared for recommendation to City Council. The public hearing was opened on Dec. 15, 2020. A second meeting to discuss the plan will be held on January 19, 2021.
